Senior Management Technology Consultant/Advisor - Washington, DC

Experienced in the operation and maintenance of information technology development environments in complex public sector organizations having a significant number of the following characteristics:

 

  • Globally distributed operations
  • Geographically dispersed support teams
  • 24x7 operations
  • Applications supporting 4,000+ users
  • Applications with internal and external systems integration requirements
  • COTS products and custom-built applications supporting enterprise resource planning
  • Multi-vendor teams

Minimum 15 years of accumulated experience.
Experience must clearly demonstrate ability to:

  • Define and implement systems strategy and architecture
  • Establish and maintain standards programs to ensure architectural and development consistency
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive strategic plan to manage information technology infrastructure(hardware, software and network communications) required to support systems development andmaintenance

Must understand organizational and program management best practices - e.g., achieving Capability Maturity Model Index (CMMI) compliance, utilizing principles of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).

Must be able to:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on technology

    ◊ platforms and architectures, hardware/software products and vendors, and tools and techniques to support applications development and maintenance
    ◊ trends (e.g., collaborative knowledge sharing tools, social networking, management dashboard reporting) and associated organizational and systems impacts

  • Provide knowledge and leadership, and advisory and mentoring assistance to agency management team
  • Prepare and present briefing materials targeting senior management
  • Deliver results in a multi-vendor environment
  • Perform contract administration functions
  • Acquire “Secret” clearance credentials
