Sales Engineer-Columbia, MD

The Sales Engineer is the pre and post-sales technical representative for software applications and solutions. This is a high impact role responsible for demonstrating the functionality and benefits of software to support the sales process. This position
requires the ability to learn quickly, stay current, and establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the customer lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Present and articulate technical concepts through demos and successful installation of products
  • Identify and analyze client's business and technical requirements and translate them into product solutions
  • Host webinars on product installation and functionality · Work closely with sales team and product management team to strategize on business and technical issues
  • Interface onsite and remotely to facilitate sales production and association · Provide client feedback to product development and product management teams to guide future product and service offerings
  • Provide market intelligence on competitive products and services Skills and Specifications:
  • Experience maintaining and configuring Citrix environments · Citrix certification · Microsoft certification · VMWare experience a plus
  • In-depth knowledge with data base concepts, architecture, and deployments
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem solving skills
  • Advanced written and oral communications skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be self-motivated and take initiative in performing tasks 



  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical field from an accredited university
  • Eight or more years of pre and post-sales technical experience
  • Approximately 40% travel required
